Questions
Straight answers —
including the awkward ones.
This page is where we tell you what we can’t do, what we’ll never promise, and what happens to your data. If something here is unclear, that’s our failure — tell us and we’ll rewrite it.
Are you a credit repair company?
No — and the difference is mechanical, not cosmetic. Credit repair disputes information already on your report and asks a company to agree it was wrong. We don’t dispute anything, we can’t remove anything, and we have no ability to change a single item already on your file.
What we do is furnish accurate payment data that was never collected. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act we’re a furnisher — the same category as your bank or your card issuer — and we carry the accuracy obligations that come with it.
If you have negative items you want removed, we are the wrong service, and no honest company can promise you that outcome. See how the mechanism works.
The basics
What exactly do you do?
We verify the rent, utility and telecom payments you already make, then report them to the credit bureaus as accounts on your credit file — with the payment history you’ve already built attached to them.
How is this different from Experian Boost?
Draft this carefully and accurately. The honest distinctions are usually: which bureaus the data reaches, whether it appears as a tradeline other lenders can read, and whether past history is included. Don’t overstate the contrast — a visitor who checks will find out.
Does my landlord have to agree to this?
Answer plainly. If landlord confirmation is required for rent, say so here and explain what happens when a landlord declines or doesn’t respond — including whether the customer is charged.
Which accounts can you report?
Rent, plus electricity, natural gas, water and mobile phone service. The account has to be in your name and the payments have to be verifiable with whoever received them. Add any exclusions: internet, streaming, insurance, accounts paid by roommates.
Your credit report
Which bureaus do you report to, and which score models use it?
Name the bureaus explicitly. Then explain which scoring models read rental and utility tradelines and which don’t — classic FICO does not capture rent at all. Being precise here is a trust signal; vagueness reads like every other site in this category.
How long until it appears?
Typically about a week after verification is complete. It’s fast because we’re not asking anyone to reconsider a decision — we’re reporting payments that already happened. The only delay is the bureaus’ normal update cycle.
What if I pay late?
The single most important answer on this page. State exactly whether late payments are reported. Whichever the policy is, say it in the first sentence rather than after a paragraph of context.
Will this help if I have collections or charge-offs?
Probably not much. Adding positive history doesn’t offset a recent collection, and we can’t remove one. If that’s your situation, the honest answer is that this service isn’t the thing standing between you and a mortgage.
Where it does the most work is on a file that’s thin or unscored — where the problem isn’t what’s on the report, but what was never put there. See who this works for.
Do you pull my credit? Is there a hard inquiry?
No. Signing up doesn’t involve a credit pull of any kind, so there’s no inquiry on your report and no effect on your score from enrolling. Confirm this is true of every step, including verification partners.
Mortgages & lenders
Will a mortgage lender actually see this?
This is the highest-stakes question on the site. Answer it with the rollout nuance rather than hype: federal housing regulators approved scoring models in 2026 that read rent and utility data, a growing set of lenders can use them, and adoption is still expanding. Link to the HUD and FHFA announcements directly.
Say what’s true precisely, including the limits. Precision here is worth more than enthusiasm.
What if an underwriter questions my file?
A file that gains several accounts at once, all from one furnisher, can look unusual to a manual underwriter — even though every account is legitimate and years old. We give you a one-page explainer you can forward to your loan officer covering how the accounts were verified and why the history predates the reporting date. Link the explainer here.
Does this get me approved for a mortgage?
No, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something. Underwriting weighs income, debt-to-income ratio, down payment, employment and property, not just credit. What we do is make sure the payment history you already have counts in the part of that picture where it belongs.
Privacy & security
Who sees my bank data?
Name the verification partner, describe exactly what’s accessed and for how long, say whether credentials are stored, and state plainly that data is never sold. Vague reassurance is worse than saying nothing.
How do you verify a payment actually happened?
We confirm each payment with the party that received it rather than taking your word for it. That’s what makes the data furnishable under the FCRA, and it’s the answer we’d give a bureau or a lender who asked. Describe the actual methods.
Can I have my data deleted?
Explain the deletion request process, what can be deleted, and what must be retained under FCRA recordkeeping rules. Note any state-specific rights.
Billing & cancellation
What does it cost?
A one-time setup fee plus a flat monthly fee to keep the accounts reporting. Nothing is priced on results. Full pricing.
What happens to my accounts if I cancel?
Answer this one first and clearly — it’s the most suspicious-feeling unknown in the category. Does the reported history stay on the file? Does it stop updating? Say exactly what happens.
How do I cancel?
Describe a cancellation path that takes one step and doesn’t involve a phone call. A subscription that wouldn’t end is one of the three things that burned people who tried credit repair.
What if you can’t deliver what I paid for?
If we don’t get your accounts reported to all three bureaus within X days, we refund the setup fee. We guarantee the deliverable. We will never guarantee a credit score, because that isn’t ours to promise.
